Sharon Calabro is one of Australia’s most multi-talented and vibrant performers. Born and bred in Australia to Italian parents, Sharon began performing at a very young age, developing her talents in both singing (in English & Italian) and dancing before taking up percussion and drums in her teens… skills she has carried with her into her professional career on stage and screen.

Sharon’s professional career started when she won New Faces, an Australian TV institution. She quickly became a familiar face on variety TV, where her beautiful voice and natural warmth won over the hearts of local audiences. She also became the go-to National Anthem singer for major international sporting events throughout the country. Sharon has had multiple award nominations, including two MO awards (the Australian Variety performer’s awards). She has worked alongside a plethora of local and international music legends, including Max Bygraves, Dr Hook and the Ink Spots.

Away from home, Sharon has taken her talents to the world, touring as a solo artist on cruise ships like P&O, Princess and the Russian Mikhail Sholokhov, as well as undertaking a European concert tour as an Italian/Australian song and dance act.

Sharon has recently had great success starring as the incomparable Karen Carpenter in the hit show Yesterday Once More, where audiences marvelled at her uncanny ability to no not only sound like Karen, but to play the drums like her too!
